HEBRON, July 29, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian man was injured by Israeli forces' gunfire on Wednesday during an Israeli military raid on the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, said a local activist.
Media activist Mohammad Awad told WAFA that Israeli special forces, disguised in civilian clothing, infiltrated the Al-Baqa’a area of Beit Ummar and opened live fire at 55-year-old Walid Hani Ikhleel as he was leaving his home, injuring him in the abdomen and foot. He was transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Israeli special forces also surrounded a house in the area and detained 25-year-old Mohammad Nabil Mohammad Ikhleel from inside the house.
