Israeli colonists expand outpost near Bethlehem with six mobile homes

BETHLEHEM, July 29, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists, under the protection of Israeli forces, continued expanding a settlement outpost in the Ush Ghrab area, east of Beit Sahour in the Bethlehem Governorate, on Wednesday, by installing additional mobile homes.

Local sources told WAFA correspondent that dozens of colonists set up six mobile homes with the aim of expanding the outpost that was established in the area some time ago.

The area known as Ush Ghrab, which includes an Israeli military base, was designated approximately 15 years ago for the construction of a children's hospital for the residents of Bethlehem. However, the hospital has not yet been built, as colonists began establishing an outpost they named "Shadima."
