TEL AVIV, July 28, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich on Tuesday boasted about the demolition of Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank.
Smotrich made the remarks in a post on the social media platform X, which included images showing the demolition of Palestinian homes in the West Bank.
Smotrich said, "We are continuing to enforce the law and prevent illegal construction and takeover by Arabs in the West Bank. For many years, they have acted in the area as if it belonged to them. That is over. The West Bank is an inseparable part of the State of Israel and constitutes an area of its security."
He made the remarks as part of his election campaign ahead of elections scheduled for next October.
Smotrich has previously announced his government's intention to annex 82% of the West Bank and stressed the need to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state.
