HEBRON, July 28, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday detained two herders from Khallet al-Farra, south of Hebron, according to local sources.

They reported that the gun-toting soldiers physically assaulted and rounded up a father and his son as the latter were herding their sheep in the area, encircled by the encroaching colony of Otniel.

They pointed to sustained attacks by the occupation forces and colonists against Palestinians and vandalism of their property in the area, including chasing, assaulting, and opening fire at farmers and herders, and denying them access to their farmlands and pastures to displace them.

Meanwhile, the occupying forces conducted multiple raids in the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate.

A sizable army force, escorting a bulldozer and colonists, barged their way into Beitunia city, west of Ramallah.

Local sources confirmed similar, separate raids in Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah, as well as in the villages of Aboud and Ranitis, northwest and west of Ramallah.

In the meantime, colonists surrounded and beat up several Palestinians in the village of Beitillu, west of Ramallah.

The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
