JENIN, July 28, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities on Tuesday issued four military orders to seize more than 22 dunums of Palestinian-owned land in the towns of Arraba and Qabatiya, south of Jenin, under the pretext that the land was required for military purposes.

According to local sources, three of the military orders authorize the seizure of 16.31 dunums of land in Arraba, while a fourth order confiscates an additional six dunums and 271 square meters of land in Qabatiya.

The latest orders come amid an escalation of Israeli measures targeting towns across the Jenin governorate. On Monday, Israeli occupation forces carried out demolition operations in Arraba, while occupation authorities continue to confiscate Palestinian-owned land to facilitate colonial expansion and the construction of infrastructure serving Israeli colonial settlements.

According to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, Israeli occupation authorities seized more than 4,379 dunums of Palestinian-owned land during the first half of 2026 under various pretexts.

The commission said that, during the same period, Israeli occupation authorities issued 40 military seizure orders under the pretext of military purposes, confiscating 611 dunums of land. They also established four buffer zones around Israeli colonial settlements, constructed 16 so-called "security roads," and set up 12 military sites.

In addition, the occupation authorities issued five expropriation orders, through which they seized 2,604 dunums of Palestinian-owned land, as well as four orders declaring land as "state land," resulting in the confiscation of an additional 1,163 dunums.

The commission further reported that Israeli occupation authorities intensified their targeting of Palestinian agricultural land and vegetation by issuing 48 military orders under the pretext of "security measures," affecting trees and crops across an area of 2,093 dunums.
