Colonists attack Palestinian-licensed vehicles north of Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, July 27, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Monday evening attacked Palestinian-licensed vehicles near the town of Jaba’, north of occupied Jerusalem, according to local sources.

They said that colonists hurled stones at passing Palestinian vehicles at the Jaba roundabout, damaging several vehicles and causing panic among motorists.

No injuries were reported, though.

Areas northeast of occupied Jerusalem have witnessed an upsurge in attacks by colonist militias against Palestinian residents and their property, carried out with the backing of Israeli occupation forces.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
