NABLUS, July 27, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonist militias on Monday evening attacked the outskirts of Asira al-Qibliya village, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to local sources.

They reported that colonists mounted an attack on the village outskirts and opened live fire before the occupation forces raided the village.

There was no immediate information on any casualties, and no one was detained.

Meanwhile, colonists attacked the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah, driving their sheep into the vicinity of villagers’ homes in an attempt to provoke them and vandalize their property.

The colonists broke into a villager’s sheep pen and attempted to steal his livestock. However, they were repelled by villagers.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
