RAMALLAH, July 27, 2026 (WAFA) — The municipality of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah, announced on Monday that it had officially received two Israeli military orders authorizing the seizure of Palestinian land and the construction of a military road affecting several land parcels in the town.

In a statement, the municipality said the orders target land owned by local residents and urged affected landowners to contact the municipality immediately to complete the necessary legal procedures and prepare objections. It noted that objections must be submitted within seven days of notification.

The municipality added that its technical teams are identifying the affected plots and contacting their owners in preparation for legal action to challenge the orders.

The latest orders come amid an increase in Israeli military land seizure orders in the occupied West Bank, issued under the pretext of military purposes. According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, such orders are frequently used to build military roads that serve Israeli colonies and facilitate their expansion.

The commission said Israeli authorities issued dozens of military orders during the first half of this year targeting hundreds of dunums of Palestinian-owned land, leading to the construction of military roads, buffer zones and other infrastructure supporting the settlement project.
