JERUSALEM, July 27, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli forces demolished a Palestinian house in the Silwan neighborhood, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, on Monday, and forced a family to self-demolish three homes in the Jabal al-Mukabber neighborhood, southeast of occupied Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem Governorate reported that Israeli troops, accompanied by crews from the Israeli-controlled Jerusalem municipality, demolished the home of Jerusalemite resident Mahmoud Muhammad Atiya Qwaider in the al-Bustan neighborhood of Silwan, claiming it was built without a permit.
The Governorate added that Israeli authorities compelled the Al-Rimawi family to demolish their three homes in Jabal al-Mukaber, also citing the lack of permits. It noted that approximately 10 people lived in these homes, each measuring between 50 and 70 square meters.
In a related incident, occupation forces blew up the door of Jerusalemite resident Khaled al-Zeer's home in the al-Abbasiya neighborhood of Silwan in the early morning hours, after raiding the house.
