QALQILIYA, July 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday detained 15 workers from the Gaza Strip after raiding the city of Qalqiliya, according to local sources.

The sources told WAFA that Israeli forces raided western Qalqiliya Street and deployed heavily in several neighborhoods, including al-Naqqar neighborhood and Abu Ali Iyad Roundabout.

Forces raided a barracks where several workers from Gaza were staying, assaulted them, and detained 15 before withdrawing following a raid that lasted about an hour.

Israeli forces also raided the village of ‘Azzun ‘Atma, south of Qalqiliya, patrolled its streets, set up a military checkpoint where they stopped residents’ vehicles, and raided and searched several homes, tampering with their contents. They later withdrew without reporting any detentions.
