BETHLEHEM, July 21, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli forces forced on Tuesday a Palestinian resident to demolish an extension to his own home in Beit Jala, west of Bethlehem.

Beit Jala Mayor Vladimir Kharoufeh told WAFA correspondent that Israeli forces compelled Mario Abu Saad to carry out the demolition of additions made to his home, which was built before 1967 and is located adjacent to the separation wall in the Bir Auna area, northeast of the city.

Kharoufeh added that Israeli court rejected his appeal against the decision and upheld the demolition order for the addition, which consisted of a side building and a second floor, while also imposing a fine of 250,000 shekels if he failed to comply.
