GAZA, July 19, 2026 (WAFA) – Sixteen Palestinian prisoners, accompanied by International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) teams, arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that the released prisoners were immediately transferred to the hospital upon arrival for medical examinations and to assess their health conditions. They were welcomed by family members and other local residents.

The ICRC continues to facilitate the transfer of released Palestinian prisoners from handover points to hospitals within the Gaza Strip, where they undergo initial medical examinations and receive necessary care before reuniting with their families.

Over the past few months, the ICRC has facilitated the transfer of hundreds of released prisoners to hospitals in the Gaza Strip as part of its humanitarian role in facilitating releases and reuniting them with their families.
