Israeli colonists graze livestock on Palestinian farmland near Bethlehem, damaging crops

BETHLEHEM, July 19, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists grazed their sheep on agricultural land in the village of Al-Maniya, southeast of Bethlehem, causing damage to crops.

Ahmed Kawazba, head of the Al-Maniya village council, told WAFA that a group of colonists herded their sheep onto olive groves in the Al-Qarn area, west of the village, damaging the trees and crops. Colonists also raised the Israeli flag in the middle of the land.

Kawazba added that colonist attacks on residents of Al-Maniya have become almost daily occurrences, including attacks on homes, gunfire, causing injuries to residents, the destruction of irrigation water networks, and the theft of private property.

The village of Al-Maniya, located in the Bethlehem wilderness, has been witnessing an escalation in colonist attacks against its residents and their property, amid ongoing attempts to seize control of large areas of grazing and agricultural land.
