NABLUS, July 19, 2026 (WAFA) - Israeli occupation forces closed the western entrance of the village of Burqa, northwest of Nablus, with earth mounds before dawn on Sunday.
According to local sources, Israeli forces blocked the village's secondary western entrance, leaving all main entrances to Burqa closed.
Meantime, Israeli forces raided several homes in the village at dawn, searched them, ransacked their contents, and subjected a number of residents to field interrogation.
Israeli forces had previously closed the main western entrance to Burqa three years ago as part of a policy of collective punishment imposed on the village's residents, who have faced repeated attacks by Israeli colonists from the nearby Homesh colony built on their lands.
