Israeli forces demolish three-story building south of Jenin

JENIN, July 15, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli bulldozers demolished on Wednesday a three-story building near the entrance to the village of Anza, south of Jenin.

The building's owner, Hafez Abu Qiyas, told WAFA that Israeli forces, accompanied by several military bulldozers, stormed the building and razed it to the ground several hours later.

Abu Qiyas said that the building consisted of a ground floor with three warehouses containing merchandise, a second floor with unoccupied apartments, and a third floor that was still under construction. Each floor measured approximately 320 square meters.

He added that he had received demolition notices several months prior, along with notices for several other buildings in the area, under the pretext of building without a permit.

He said he had filed an objection with the Israeli courts and that the case was still pending when the demolition was carried out.

The village of Anza has faced a continuous threat of demolition since August 2025, after receiving notices from the Israeli authorities targeting 16 structures. Meanwhile, raids and incursions into the village continue.
