SALFIT, July 12, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces issued seven stop-work and construction notices on Sunday for homes in the town of Kafr al-Dik, in the central West Bank province of Salfit.
Local sources told WAFA that Israeli forces raided the western area of the town and handed residents seven notices ordering them to halt construction work on inhabited homes, some of which have existed since the 1970s and 1980s and have been occupied by their owners for decades.
The notices are part of Israeli measures aimed at restricting Palestinian construction and preventing natural urban expansion.
Israeli authorities frequently issue demolition and stop-work orders against Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank, citing permit requirements that are nearly impossible to obtain.
