JERICHO, July 12, 2026 (WAFA) – The Palestinian General Authority for Borders and Crossings announced on Sunday that travel through the Karameh/King Hussein Bridge Border Crossing had been disrupted due to a strike on the Israeli side, resulting in a temporary suspension of operations.
The authority urged travelers to postpone their journeys and avoid heading to the crossing until an official announcement is issued confirming the resumption of operations. It also called on passengers to reschedule their travel plans.
The Karameh Border Crossing is the occupied West Bank's only international gateway to the outside world through Jordan. Its closure or disruption affects thousands of Palestinian travelers, including patients seeking medical treatment abroad, students, businesspeople and families, often causing significant delays and travel disruptions.
