HEBRON, July 12, 2026 (WAFA) – Seven Palestinians were injured on Sunday after Israeli colonists attacked residents in the village of Huwara in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank. Israeli occupation forces later detained three Palestinians, according to local sources.
Media activist Osama Makhamreh told WAFA that a group of Israeli colonists attacked the family of Ibrahim Ismail al-Jabour while they were on their land near their home in the village. The colonists assaulted family members and sprayed them with pepper spray.
The attack injured seven Palestinians, including the elderly Ibrahim Ismail al-Jabour and two children, Mustafa al-Jabour and Habiba al-Jabour. All were taken to Yatta Government Hospital for treatment.
Makhamreh said Israeli occupation forces detained three local Palestinians from the al-Jabour family during the assault.
Palestinian in Masafer Yatta, an area comprising nearly 19 herding communities south of Hebron, have been facing repeated attacks by Israeli colonists targeting residents, homes and agricultural land, often in the presence of Israeli occupation forces.
