RAMALLAH, July 12, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces tightened military restrictions at all entrances leading to the city of Ramallah on Sunday morning, causing severe traffic congestion and leaving hundreds of vehicles stranded.
Local sources said Israeli forces closed several main and secondary entrances to the city and deployed at the Ein Siniya checkpoint, where they subjected vehicles to thorough inspections, disrupting the movement of residents, particularly those traveling to their workplaces.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, there are more than 916 Israeli military checkpoints and gates across the occupied Palestinian territory, including 243 gates installed after October 7, 2023.
The network of checkpoints and gates has significantly restricted the movement of Palestinians across the occupied West Bank.
