RAMALLAH, July 9, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonist militias launched a large-scale attack on the village of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah, on Thursday evening, surrounding Palestinian residents and attacking their homes and property while blocking access to the village.

Local sources told WAFA that around 150 Israeli colonists attacked the village from four different directions and closed its main gate in an effort to restrict residents' movement. The attack coincided with the entry of Israeli forces into the village.

The sources said the colonist militias besieged several families, including women, children and elderly people, and attempted to assault them. They also tried to set fire to inhabited homes.

The attack caused damage to homes and other property, while the assaults were ongoing at the time of reporting.
