HEBRON, July 7, 2026 (WAFA) – An Israeli occupation court on Tuesday rejected an appeal seeking to halt the demolition of Al-Rifaiya School, east of Hebron.
Bassam Jabr, director of education for the Masafer Yatta area, said the court rejected an appeal filed by the school's lawyer against the demolition order issued by the Israeli occupation authorities.
Jabr explained that the school serves around 400 elementary school students from the Zif area and several communities located near the colonial road east of Hebron. He added that the court granted the occupation authorities 14 days before carrying out the demolition.
He noted that lawyers have filed a further appeal and that human rights organizations are following the case, condemning the targeting of the school and the education sector, particularly in Masafer Yatta, the town of Bani Naim, and communities located near colonial roads.
