JERUSALEM, July 6, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli forces on Monday detained four Palestinian citizens working at a waste dump in the Al-Khunaidiq area of the town of Beit Anan, northwest of Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem Governorate said in a statement that Israeli occupation forces detained a waste collection driver, two workers, and a guard at the dump site after raiding the area.
It added that occupation forces set up a flying military checkpoint in the al-Khunaidiq area, where they stopped and searched citizens’ vehicles and checked identity cards, obstructing movement in the area.
The Governorate affirmed that these measures are part of the occupation’s policy aimed at tightening restrictions on Palestinian citizens and disrupting essential service facilities, calling on human rights organizations and international institutions to intervene to halt the ongoing violations against residents of the governorate.
