Israeli forces begin demolishing inhabited home in Tuqu' southeast of Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, Thursday, July 2, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Thursday began demolishing an inhabited house in the town of Tuqu', southeast of Bethlehem.

Taysir Abu Mufleh, head of the Tuqu' Municipal Council, told WAFA that Israeli forces started demolishing a two-story house, with each floor covering an area of 200 square meters, in the Khirbet al-Deir area.

The house belongs to local resident Ali Mahmoud Suleiman and is being demolished under the pretext of lacking the required building permit.

Abu Mufleh added that Israeli forces completely sealed off the area and prevented residents from moving through it or reaching the site of the demolition.
