JENIN, Wednesday, July 1, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Wednesday began establishing a new settlement outpost on lands belonging to the town of Kafr Ra’i, southwest of Jenin.
Kafr Ra’i Mayor Louay Al-Sheikh told WAFA that colonists bulldozed agricultural lands owned by the Abu Al-Shawarib family in the Al-Qareen area north of the town and erected a tent at the site.
He noted that the outpost is located near the Dotan settlement built on lands of Ya‘bad and Arraba, warning that its establishment poses a serious threat as it paves the way for the seizure of hundreds of dunums of Palestinian land, which residents have been denied access to for years.
