GAZA, June 28, 2026 (WAFA) – A 13-year-old Palestinian girl died on Sunday after succumbing to injuries sustained in Israeli artillery shelling east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Medical sources at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis said the body of Eileen Al-Farra arrived at the hospital after she died from a head injury caused by shrapnel from an Israeli artillery shell that struck near the Bani Suheila roundabout, east of the city.
Earlier in the day, medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Strip since October 7, 2023, had risen to 73,054, with 173,480 others injured.
They added that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received three fatalities and 43 injuries over the past 24 hours amid the ongoing Israeli aggression across various areas of the enclave.
