JENIN, June 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities on Monday issued stop-work orders for six homes in the town of Silat al-Dhahr, south of Jenin, according to local officials.
Munther Hantouli, head of the Silat al-Dhahr Municipality, told WAFA that Israeli forces raided the western part of the town and delivered six stop-work notices affecting six houses, five of which are inhabited.
He said the homes are located along the colonial road linking the Israeli settlements of Homesh and Sa-Nur.
Hantouli warned of an escalating settlement campaign targeting the town, noting that hundreds of dunums of Silat al-Dhahr’s land have already been seized.
