RAMALLAH, June 21, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Sunday night raided the village of Umm Safa, northwest of Ramallah, according to a local official.
Marwan Sabah, head of the Umm Safa Village Council, told WAFA that an Israeli army foot patrol stormed the village, prevented movement within the village, and briefly detained two young Palestinian men before releasing them.
Earlier in the evening, colonists raided the Wadi Al-Zaytoun area south of the village and grazed their sheep on Palestinian-owned land.
Another group of colonists performed Talmudic rituals in front of the home of resident Mohammad Al-Abayat in the eastern part of the village. Several days ago, colonists erected a tent on Palestinian-owned land in the same area.
