Israeli colonists damage sole water supply line serving Bedouin community east of Jerusalem

JERICHO, June 3, 2026 (WAFA) –  Israeli colonists vandalized on Wednesday the main and only water pipeline supplying the Bedouin community of Arab al-Tabna, located east of occupied Jerusalem near Khan al-Ahmar  along the road connecting Jerusalem and Jericho.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the attack deprived the families of their sole source of water, exacerbating their already difficult living conditions.

The  attack is part of a series of repeated violations targeting Bedouin communities east of Jerusalem, aimed at pressuring residents and forcing them to leave their land.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
