RAMALLAH, June 3, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Wednesday led their livestock to graze in Palestinians’ fields in Taybeh town, east of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to eyewitnesses.
They said that colonists led a herd of sheep and camels to graze in Palestinian farmers’ olive groves at the al-Khalyfeh area, damaging trees.
They added that the colonist deliberately broke off olive trees’ branches to feed their sheep, raising concerns among the town inhabitants that such attacks could become more widespread.
Meanwhile, armed colonists attacked a Palestinian civilian at the eastern entrance of Jiljilyya village, north of Ramallah, as confirmed by local sources.
The sources said that armed settlers assaulted a civilian while the latter was working in his workshop near the entrance and stole his mobile phone before leaving the scene.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
