Colonists set fire to agricultural land northeast of Ramallah

 

 

RAMALLAH, May 18, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists on Monday evening set fire to agricultural land in the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, according to local sources.

Sources reported that colonists set fire to agricultural land in the eastern plain area of the village, causing large areas to burn.

The occupation forces stormed the area following the arson attack to provide protection to the colonists, preventing residents from reaching the area, and opened fire toward them, with no injuries reported.

Israeli forces and colonists carried out a total of 1,637 attacks against the Palestinian people, their land, and property during April, according to a report issued by the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission.

The report stated that the occupation army carried out 1,097 attacks, while colonists carried out 540 attacks. It noted that the attacks were mainly concentrated in the governorates of Nablus with 402 attacks, followed by Hebron with 340, Ramallah and al-Bireh with 312, and Bethlehem with 171.
