BETHLEHEM, May 11, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces and colonists on Monday isolated four homes behind an iron gate in the Tuqu’ town, southeast of the occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem, according to a municipal source.
Tayseer Abu Mufreh, Director of the Tuqu’ Municipality, told WAFA that the occupying forces and colonists relocated an iron gate in the Al-Ghazlan area to a site near the inhabitants’ homes, resulting in the isolation of four homes belonging to the Sabah family.
Abu Mufreh added that occupying forces removed another iron gate from the Al-Bariya area and erected it near residents’ homes, which will deprive the inhabitants of access to their lands and prevent shepherds from reaching grazing areas.
He pointed out that occupation forces have recently escalated their arbitrary measures against the town, most recently by closing some of its entrances with earth mounds.
