BETHLEHEM, April 28, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists began bulldozing Palestinian land in the town of Battir, west of Bethlehem, on Tuesday.
Omar al-Qaisi, an activist against the wall and settlements, told WAFA that colonists, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, began bulldozing land in the areas of al-Qasir and Taf Abdullah. The aim is to construct a one-kilometer-long colonists road, prepare infrastructure, and erect electricity poles to extend the power grid to the outpost established in these areas approximately two years ago.
Al-Qaisi noted that the land in these two areas exceeds 100 dunams (approximately 20 acres), which was seized to expand the colonial outpost and transform it into the settlement of Heletz. He added that the Palestinian landowners have been prevented from accessing their land for the past two years.
