Five killed, others wounded in Israeli bombing of southern Lebanon

 

BEIRUT, April 7, 2026 (WAFA) – Five Lebanese were killed and others wounded on Tuesday as a result of a series of Israeli airstrikes on various areas in southern Lebanon, which also caused widespread destruction to buildings and infrastructure.

According to the National News Agency, an Israeli airstrike targeted the town of Ma'raka, resulting in the killing of three Lebanese, while another airstrike on the town of Tayr Dibba resulted in the killing of two more.

Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes, accompanied by artillery shelling, intensified their targeting of several areas, including the Al-Housh area east of Tyre, and the towns of Tibnin, Kfar Dounin, Sultaniyeh, Sahmar, Al-Sarirah, Al-Qatrani, Al-Qulaylah, Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Al-Haniyah, Ain Baal, and Batouliyeh in southern Lebanon, in addition to the town of Zlaya in the Western Bekaa Valley.

The occupying army continues to launch air raids and artillery shelling targeting the towns of Haddatha, Toulene, Aitaroun, Mays al-Jabal and Wadi al-Hujair in southern Lebanon.
