NEW YORK, February 19, 2026 (WAFA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East said on Thursday that humanitarian conditions across Gaza remain dire, citing ongoing restrictions on the delivery of aid.
In a statement posted on X, the agency said it continues to operate on the ground, providing displaced people with essential services including healthcare, education, shelter, food assistance and protection services through its extensive field presence and network.
UNRWA added that the scale of needs far exceeds what is currently permitted to enter, renewing its call for the lifting of restrictions on humanitarian aid access.
