Several Palestinian students suffocate as Israeli forces storm Bethlehem-area-village

BETHLEHEM, January 28, 2026 (WAFA) – Several Palestinian students from schools in al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, suffered from tear gas inhalation on Wednesday after Israeli forces raided the town.

Husni Issa, the deputy mayor of al-Khader, told WAFA correspondent that Israeli forces attacked students as they were leaving school and heading home, firing tear gas and stun grenades, causing several to suffer from tear gas inhalation.

Issa added that Israeli forces chased the students along the main road leading to the Gate area and into the neighborhoods of the Old City, creating a state of panic and fear.
