Colonists attack hamlets in Masafer Yatta, injure citizens and steal sheep

HEBRON, January 27, 2026 (WAFA) – Several Palestinian citizens were injured on Tuesday evening during a colonists’ attack on the Al-Fukhait and Khirbet al-Halawa hamlets in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

Local citizen Samir Hammamdeh, who was beaten by colonists, said that a large number of colonists attacked his home, pelted it with stones, and sprayed pepper spray inside, causing his children and wife to faint and suffer bruises and wounds.

Several other residents were also injured, including children and women.

The colonists also smashed a resident’s vehicle, broke the windows of his home, burned firewood, and caused significant damage to the property.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its crews dealt with two injuries in the Al-Fukhait area of Masafer Yatta, including a young man who sustained a head injury with severe bleeding, and a girl who suffered a broken hand.

Colonists also attacked citizens in the Khirbet al-Halawa hamlet, injuring several citizens with bruises and wounds after being struck by stones thrown by the colonists.

Media activist Osama Makhamreh said that colonists attacked PRCS ambulances, pelted them with stones, and prevented them from reaching and providing treatment to the injured.

The colonists, under the protection of occupation forces, also stole 150 sheep belonging to the Abu Aram family.
