GAZA, January 26, 2026 (WAFA) – An elderly woman died early Monday morning from the extreme cold in the southern Gaza Strip.
Medical sources reported the death of Zainab Muhammad Musbah, 63, from the severe cold. She was found frozen in front of her tent in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Local resident Majdi Nawfal was also killed by Israeli occupation forces near Block 12, east of Al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip, by an Israeli drone.
Residents of the Gaza Strip are suffering from a lack of shelter and medical care, as well as a shortage of heating fuel, amidst a stormy, cold, and rainy weather system.
