GAZA, January 16, 2026 (WAFA) — A Palestinian woman was killed and others were injured early on Friday by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire in the city of Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip.

WAFA correspondent reported that 62-year-old Sabah Ahmed Abu Jame’ was killed after Israeli forces opened fire from military vehicles west of Khan Younis. Several other citizens were also injured in the incident.

Meantime, local sources said that Israeli forces carried out extensive demolitions of homes earlier on Friday in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.

The killing comes as Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement continue. On Thursday, 11 Palestinians were killed in airstrikes on several areas across the Gaza Strip.
