RAMALLAH, December 23, 2025 (WAFA) – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas received Mrs, Fadwa Barghouti, the wife of senior Fatah leader and Central Committee member Marwan Barghouti, at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah, as part of efforts to support the Palestinian, Arab, and international campaign calling for his release.

The Presidency affirmed that the demand for the release of Marwan Barghouti has always been at the top of President Abbas’s agenda and that of the Fatah movement.

The Presidency commended the steadfastness and determination of the prominent national leader Marwan Barghouti and his courageous national stances, praising the resilience of the other imprisoned freedom fighters in their struggle for liberty and the independence of the State of Palestine.
