HEBRON, November 23, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained three Palestinians on Sunday following an incident in which colonists deliberately rammed a vehicle carrying the three Palestinian citizens south of Hebron, causing significant damage.
Activist Osama Makhamereh reported that colonists from the newly established outpost of Shimon, built on the lands of Al-Zuweidin village, east of the town of Yatta, intentionally struck the vehicle at the village entrance. Following the incident, the Israeli army raided the area and detained the three young men.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces closed the military checkpoint at the entrance of Al-Shuhada Street in central Hebron, preventing residents from returning to their homes. Witnesses said the closure blocked access for both residents and school students, hindering travel to schools and homes in the Tel Rumeida neighborhood.
The Al-Shuhada Street checkpoint has remained closed for over 31 years following the 1994 Ibrahimi Mosque massacre. The street, 1.5 km long, is a vital artery connecting central Hebron with its northern and southern neighborhoods.
