Ambassador Al-Aklouk briefs head of EU delegation on latest developments

CAIRO, November 18, 2025 (WAFA) - Palestine’s Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Muhannad Al-Aklouk, today briefed Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Egypt, Angelina Eichhorst, on the latest developments related to the Palestinian cause.

The meeting, held at the headquarters of the Palestinian delegation in Cairo, also discussed Security Council Resolution 2803, emphasizing the need to maintain the ceasefire and ensure the adequate and immediate entry of relief and humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.

The meeting also touched on the positions of the League of Arab States and the European Union regarding the importance of the role and presence of the Palestinian government in the Gaza Strip, as well as the continuation of international efforts to achieve the independence of the State of Palestine on the ground. This comes particularly in light of the recent recognitions and the convening of the conference on the Two-State solution held at the United Nations headquarters, which succeeded in issuing the New York Declaration outlining practical steps toward implementing the two-state solution.
