GAZA, November 11, 2025 (WAFA) – Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced that 6,000 amputations have been recorded, requiring urgent, long-term rehabilitation programs.
The same sources explained that children comprise 25% of the total number of amputations, while women account for 12.7%.
They noted that the shortage of medical resources and assistive devices exacerbates the suffering of amputees, emphasizing that these figures reflect the profound human suffering endured by thousands of wounded individuals and their families.
This underscores the urgent need for rehabilitation services and psychosocial support, especially for children who have found themselves facing permanent disabilities at a young age.
