GAZA, October 19, 2025 (WAFA) – Although a ceasefire in Gaza went into effect on October 11, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has continued to rise, reaching 68,159, mostly women and children, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression in October 2023. At least 170,203 others have also been injured.
This toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.
Medical sources stated that 18 bodies, including ten that were recovered from under the rubble and eight that were directly directed by Israeli forces, and three injured individuals were brought to hospitals in Gaza during the past 24 hours.
Since the ceasefire went into effect on October 11, 35 Palestinians have been killed and 146 others have been injured. The bodies of 414 Palestinians have also been recovered.
Fifteen unidentified bodies previously withheld by the Israeli occupation have also been handed over as part of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal, bringing the total number of bodies received from Israel to 150, delivered in batches of 45, 45, 30, 15, and 15.
