NABLUS, October 17, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces and colonists on Friday morning attacked Palestinian olive pickers in the villages of Qabalan, Qusra, Aqraba, and Salem, south and east of the city of Nablus, according to local sources.

Sources said that Israeli soldiers stormed the entrance to Aqraba, fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters at the olive pickers, and prevented them from harvesting their olive crops.

Colonists also attacked olive pickers in the towns of Qusra and Qabalan, south of Nablus. A Palestinian was injured after colonists assaulted him and damaged his vehicle in the village of Qabalan.

Colonists, under the protection of the Israeli army, also attacked olive pickers in Salem village, east of Nablus, and prevented them from harvesting their olive crops.

Villages across Nablus Governorate have been subjected to near-daily attacks by colonists and Israeli forces, disrupting the annual olive harvest and preventing farmers from accessing their lands.

Palestinian areas face repeated attacks by colonists and the Israeli army during the annual olive harvest season, as farmers are frequently targeted and denied access to their groves, resulting in significant material losses and deepening their daily suffering under occupation.

Since October 7, 2023, colonists have carried out a total of 7,154 attacks against Palestinians and their properties across the occupied West Bank, resulting in the killing of 33 people.

According to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, attacks by Israeli forces and colonists have also led to the uprooting, destruction, or damage of 48,728 trees, including 37,237 olive trees.
