RAMALLAH, October 13, 2025 (WAFA) – The Norwegian government agreed to provide 4 million USD in additional support to the public budget, the Finance Ministry announced on Monday.

The announcement was made during a meeting between Minister of Finance, Omar Al-Bitar, and the Representative of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Erik Bergåsv, at the Ministry's headquarters in Ramallah.

Minister Al-Bitar affirmed that this support reflects Norway's unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and the government's efforts to boost the resilience of state institutions and the sustainability of public services.

He commended Norway for its positive role as an effective partner in supporting Palestinian economic development.

For his part, Bergåsv stressed that Oslo’s commitment to maintaining cooperation to promote financial stability and enable the Palestinian government to meet its obligations toward citizens.
