GAZA, October 9, 2025 (WAFA) – A number of Palestinians were killed and others wounded on Thursday as Israeli occupation forces continued their airstrikes and attacks on various neighborhoods and areas across the Gaza Strip.

WAFA correspondent reported that one citizen was killed and several others injured by Israeli gunfire in the vicinity of Hamad City, northwest of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. All casualties were transported to Nasser Medical Complex. Another Palestinian was killed in a separate airstrike targeting central Khan Younis.

A third person was killed and others injured when an Israeli drone targeted the Al-Bayouk neighborhood in central Khan Younis. Meanwhile, a source at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital confirmed that several civilians were wounded when an Israeli drone fired at Al-Yarmouk School in western Gaza City. Other airstrikes also hit the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in the east of the city.

Medical sources reported that 17 Palestinians were confirmed dead in hospitals across the Gaza Strip since the early hours of Thursday, as Israel’s bombardment continued. Among them, 10 were recovered from under rubble or succumbed to wounds sustained in earlier attacks.

According to health officials, five of the victims were received at the Medical Complex Hospital, three at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, and nine at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.

Despite recent announcements of a ceasefire agreement brokered by international mediators—including the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey—Israeli attacks on Gaza have persisted. The Gaza Strip has endured over two years of devastating Israeli aggression that has destroyed infrastructure and claimed tens of thousands of lives, the majority of whom are civilians, including children and women.
