RAMALLAH, October 8, 2025 (WAFA) – Several Palestinian civilians on Wednesday evening sustained injuries in a colonist attack in Atara town, northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to local sources.
They said that Israeli colonists broke into the outskirts of the town and attacked a house, shattering the window glass, vandalizing some of its contents, and beating up a female while she was inside the house with her child.
Defenseless inhabitants tried to fend off the attack and confront the assailants, who responded by firing bullets at them, at the same time when Israeli occupation forces stormed the town and fired a barrage of live bullets at the inhabitants, resulting in two casualties.
One of the two casualties, aged 50, was shot in the hip, and both casualties were rushed to Ramallah Medical Complex Hospital.
The Health Ministry confirmed that two other casualties, one who sustained a critical gunshot injury to the head and another who sustained a moderate injury in the abdomen, were admitted to al-Istishari Hospital.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society stated that its crews provided first aid treatment to an inhabitant who sustained an injury after being assaulted by the colonists in the town, and transported him to a hospital.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli colonists have carried out 7,154 attacks against Palestinian civilians and property in the occupied West Bank, killing 33 civilians, and displacing 33 Bedouin communities, comprising 455 families (2,853 people), according to the statistics of the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission.
