NEW YORK, October 7, 2025 (WAFA) – The World Food Programme (WFP) said that the Gaza Strip now needs food on a massive scale, given the tragic conditions there.
In a statement issued last night, the WFP stressed that humanitarian efforts must advance to save the lives of people in the Gaza Strip, not retreat.
It stressed that Gaza needs an immediate expansion of food assistance to reassure people that they will not starve.
The WFP called for safe and unhindered humanitarian access to allow for the orderly distribution of food aid throughout Gaza immediately.
