G7, EU call for immediate ceasefire in Gaza, urgent humanitarian aid

NEW YORK, September 24, 2025 (WAFA) – The foreign ministers of the group of seven (G7) countries, along with the European Union High Representative, stressed the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip to alleviate the suffering of civilians.

During their meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, the ministers emphasized the importance of the widespread flow of humanitarian aid and securing the release of all hostages.

The G7 ministers (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States) expressed their readiness to cooperate with Arab countries on proposals for Gaza’s reconstruction and advancing peace in the region.
