RAMALLAH, September 23, 2025 (WAFA) – Five Palestinian civilians on Tuesday evening sustained injuries in a colonist attack in al-Mughayyir village, northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to a municipal source.
Amin Aby Alya, head of the Village Council, said that Israeli colonists, protected by the occupation forces, attacked a public park in the southeastern part of the village, firing at civilians and injuring five.
He added that one of the casualties sustained a gunshot injury to the chest and was in a critical condition.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
